What kind of insect is this?
I’ve never seen one of these before. Almost like some giant ladybug typer creature. Those bulbs it is sitting on are approximately fingertip in size.

Looks like a Colorado potato beetle.

Edit. Never mind. The other are right. The Colorado potato beetle is a close cousin. It's a false potato beetle.
